Interview experiences

"The overall interview process was well organized and gave me a good opportunity to demonstrate both my technical skills and my experience with AI engineering. I felt that I did especially well when discussing Python, machine learning, LLMs, RAG, APIs, and how I approach debugging and solving technical problems. I was also comfortable explaining projects I had worked on and the decisions I made during development. The more challenging part was answering some of the deeper technical questions under time pressure. There were a few questions where I knew the concept but could have explained my thought process more clearly or provided a stronger example. Overall, though, the experience was positive and helped me identify a few technical areas I want to continue strengthening."

"Recruiter contacted, set up 1st round phone screen with a senior engineer. 45 mins with 20 mins on past projects etc diving in detial before talking about AI/LLM concepts. Was easy 2nd round was 2 stanmdard leetcode coding qns 45 mins with 1st 15 mins on behvaioural so only 30 mins to solve both qns but was quite doable. Walked though the brute force naive approach before moving on to the optimal solution and O(nlogn) etc tiome complexity."

"few stages: an initial recruiter conversation, a technical screening, and then a set of onsite or virtual interviews. The technical rounds typically cover coding/DSA, system design, and behavioral or leadership-oriented questions. For a Senior role, I’d expect system design and demonstrating technical leadership to carry significant weight. I’d also prepare for Googleyness/culture-related questions"

"The XFN behavioral interviews were pretty standard. The things that caught me off guard was 1) the app critique, because they just let me keep talking and using the app and I wasn't really sure what they were looking for 2) the technical system interview, because the interviewer went super deep, pushing me on latency constraints, how I would design algorithms, and defining technical architectures that I wasn't familiar with."

"Went well, The interviewer has experience and the questions asked was more systematic aligned to the job posting and tweaked as per the resume submitted"
