Akanksha Gupta

Akanksha’s goal is to help engineers and engineering leaders build the confidence, depth, and strategic thinking needed to consistently succeed in high-stakes interviews — not by memorizing frameworks, but by becoming genuinely exceptional engineers and leaders.

Akanksha is currently an Engineering Manager at Amazon AWS and an Amazon Bar Raiser, where she drives hiring excellence, interviewer calibration, and leadership evaluation across organizations. Prior to AWS, she was a senior engineer and then made her transition to engineering manager, where she managed engineering teams at Microsoft, Robinhood, and Audible. She holds a master’s degree in computer science from Columbia University.

Akanksha is the author of the book “Think like a Software Engineering Manager”, a leadership guide that has received strong recognition from engineering leaders and aspiring managers globally. She is also an EB1-A Einstein Visa recipient, holds Fellow of the British Computer Society, and Fellow Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Beyond her industry leadership, Akanksha is deeply passionate about mentoring and empowering engineers and managers through career transitions, navigating coding interviews, system design, engineering management interviews, leadership communication, and career strategy. Akanksha has served as a judge for prestigious industry programs, including the Grace Hopper Celebration and Webby Awards. She has also served as Track Chair for the Global Women in Tech Conference and has spoken at conferences and communities, including WomenTech Global, Black Is Tech, GeeksGirl Mexico, Tech Lead Journal, and NJ DevOps Meetup.
