Interview tips
1. Have STAR Stories The STAR method is a structured way to answer behavioral questions, which Amazon relies on heavily to test you against their Leadership Principles (LPs). You should have 4-5 versatile stories prepared that fit this format. 2. Know Your Metrics Amazon is famously data-driven. When discussing your past projects (especially the "Result" part of your STAR stories), vague statements like "I made the app faster" won't cut it. You must quantify your impact. For Frontend Engineers: Be ready to talk about web performance metrics (Core Web Vitals, First Contentful Paint, Time to Interactive), bundle size reductions, or error rate drops. Business Impact: Connect your technical work to business goals. For example: "By lazy-loading images, I improved page load speed by 20%, which correlated with a 5% increase in user retention." How to prepare: Review your past projects and dig up the exact numbers, percentages, and timeframes that prove your work made a difference. 3. Understand Your "Design to Code" Process and motion logic.
Company culture
