Know the company and technologies really well, ask alarming questions that shows you did your upmost research especially research on your team
Company culture
When a start up starts getting bigger it can sometiems get hierarchial, which it did and if you don't have a manager that is sticking out for you or communicates well with you, you need to control your future and know no one is going to stick out for you but yourself. You need to be autonomous and think of yourself as a product manager within the company
