Interview process

The “design a runtime system” problem felt quite broad and somewhat vague at the beginning. It wasn’t immediately clear what level of detail or which aspects of the runtime system the interviewer wanted me to focus on. A little more context around the expected scope, constraints, or key requirements would have made the problem easier to approach and helped keep the discussion more focused.

Interview tips

I’d recommend reviewing the fundamentals relevant to the role and practicing how to clearly explain your thought process while solving problems. The questions themselves are clear, so being comfortable talking through your approach, assumptions, and trade-offs would be the most useful preparation.

Company culture

The team seemed to operate at a fast pace, and I got the impression that the interviewer had a very busy schedule. The conversation was professional and efficient, though at times it felt a little rushed, which made it harder to get a deeper sense of the team culture and day-to-day collaboration.
