Interview process
The request from the interviewer was simple: design Instagram. - Users should be able to upload photos and videos. - Videos up to 1GB - max 1 per day. - Photos up to 10MB - max 5 per day. - Users will have a private timeline, that only they see the posts. - Users will have a public timeline where everyone that follow them will see their posts. - Users will be able to see all the posts from the people they follow. - All content will be ordered by created_at DESC. Later we introduced new scaling problems, like celebrity posts.
