Product Manager Interview Experience
Interview process
The process was rigorous and well structured across screening and three rounds covering product thinking, AI experience, and technical depth with business strategy. Interviewers were highly conversational and went deep on my AI personalisation work at Amex, which I felt confident navigating. The case study in the final round was my weakest area — I took too long to land on sharp specific insights rather than leading with them. Overall a strong learning experience that pushed my product thinking significantly.

Interview tips
Go deep on systems you've actually owned — interviewers rabbit hole five levels deep so surface knowledge won't hold. Have a genuine point of view on Microsoft's AI strategy, not just product features. Lead with your sharpest insight first — don't warm up to the good answer. And show up rested — it's a conversation, not an interrogation.
Company culture
Interviewers were genuinely curious and collaborative — felt like a conversation with future colleagues rather than a formal evaluation. The depth of thinking on AI product strategy and the pace of innovation on Copilot and Search stood out as exactly the kind of environment I want to work in.
