Finance and Strategy Interview Experience
Interview process
Two rounds total. First a 30-minute screen with the recruiter covering my background and salary expectations, then a 60-minute conversation with the hiring manager focused on my FP&A experience. What went well: the hiring manager asked concrete questions about work I'd actually done rather than abstract puzzles. What didn't: the role scope was described differently in the two rounds, and I had to ask twice to get clarity on reporting lines.

Interview tips
Less structured than a typical tech company loop — no case study or modelling test. More conversational, closer to a consulting-style discussion about how I'd approach a problem.
Company culture
Informal tone, no panel-style grilling. They asked a lot about how I work with non-finance stakeholders, which suggests business partnering matters more than pure reporting.
