Interview process

The overall interview process went smoothly. My recruiter was friendly and communicative, and flexible with my schedule (I was traveling and had to split up my interviews). I received feedback relatively quickly after each round (within a few days - I often had to wait longer with other companies). No surprises, the recruiter clearly described the type of interview for each round.

Interview tips

For coding, the focus was more on problem solving and implementing/testing the desired behavior than on data structures + algorithms. Having a good grasp of of your chosen language and practicing writing code would be sufficient prep, instead of grinding on LeetCode. System design interview was standard. There was a lot of focus on various rounds about technical leadership. I would spend more time thinking through stories of my past experience, and choosing ones that reflect specific traits that the company might be looking for (e.g. scope, conflict resolution, growth). Doing practice behavioral interviews, or at least practicing saying answers out loud, would be helpful!

Company culture

Everyone I talked to was friendly, which helped make the interviews less nerve-wracking! The team culture struck me as being open and collaborative, instead of competitive or cutthroat. Engineering organization borrows a lot from big tech (as mentioned by one of my interviewers as well).
