Recruiter was super helpful throughout the process helping me navigate through the process and super responsive whenever I had any questions. Lot of interesting questions asked to test problem solving + LPs related questions can sometimes put you on spot in revealing things that you don't want to. Overall it was a good experience and recruiter reached out to me after a week.

The interview loop was definitely more AI/ML focused than software focused. There was no leetcode really, but I did have to write a simple KNN algorithm from scratch.

Got a verbal offer but didn't match to the original team. I did eventually get matched to the next team, so don't give up if you get a verbal offer

My interview process started with a coding round focused on data structures and problem-solving, where I was able to understand the problem and write a working approach but struggled with optimizing the solution under time pressure. What went well was my ability to implement a correct baseline solution and explain my thought process, but I didn’t perform as well on edge cases and optimal complexity, which likely impacted the final outcome.

It followed AWS's standard flow: a recruiter screen, then a phone interview with the hiring manager, then a full virtual loop of [4–5] back-to-back interviews, each about 45 minutes. The loop was almost entirely behavioral and built around Amazon's Leadership Principles, with each interviewer focused on a couple of LPs, plus some role-specific questions about data center standup, hardware deployment, and vendor coordination.

The interview was quite smooth. All of the interviewers asked their direct questions with no further small talk.
