I could have asked more questions and done a lot more mock interview practice. When an interviewer interjects - you are off track, take a moment to catch your breath and come back. ”

I felt the interviewer was in a rush and wanted to get certain signals by asking specific questions which threw me off a bit as I felt they kinda guiding the interview while i was doing it on my own pace. ”
“The recruiter mentioned that I will be heavily judged on my Communication as well as problem-solving. What went well: 1. I solved all the questions. 2. I was communicating very well. I wasn't able to pass the round because the interviewer wasn't helpful at all. I asked a question regarding an assumption to the third SQL question, and she said no. When I coded it and received the wrong answer, she said your assumption was wrong. Also, she said, "Don't tell me, you can solve it any way you want to solve." Her phone rang twice (I could sense she was using it, looking down). She was kind of rude, she ran my code while I was coding, causing confusion at my end. Yes, an interview is a collaborative exercise in DoorDash. She added something to my code even without telling me, leading it to fail, and consuming my time to debug.”
“The process was fast, recruiter communicated via emails. A technical round with some easy to medium SQL questions and a case study. The final round has 3 case studies and 1 behavioral question round.”
“The process was smooth. The coding assessment(SQL) section needs serious preparation before any attempt. The case study section was as per expecations and followed the generic pattern.”
“Very strong interviewers who know what they are looking for and prompt you in the direction needed. The product sense question seemed too narrow in scope and was phrased in a tricky way where traditional structure could not fit in to solve the problem.”
“Overall it was a mixed bag, somewhere I felt that I really did well but somewhere I couldn't judge if interviewer is liking my responses. It was very open ended ”
“It was well organized, and the teams took turns so as not to be redundant. It is helpful to go with data-backed examples like AI did for easy reference. While it is not always obvious, you can look up facts like who is the market leader in grocery or what's the number of customers /DAO for an app. It's not necessary to memorize all these Google-able numbers. I was asked a question about TikTok. I explained how I don't use apps that drain my time and focus, and they gave me a different question. ”

“The weirdest Anthropic round was the company values interview. It was almost like a therapy session, and honestly if you went to a therapist at some point, you will pass that round much more easily.”
