After the recruiting screen, I had a call with a bar raiser / very senior PM at the company. Hiring manager interview where they dug into my past work experience, strategy, and impact The interview was focused on platform thinking and was pretty challenging but reasonable. The final round included an interview panel session with another PM of a similar level, the hiring manager, and the director of the team I was interviewing for. I walked them through my product proposal and they dug into the technical / UX trade-offs of the decisions I made

Process was quick, team was professional, and had a diverse set of interviews. Recommendation to split the loop into two days.

Very thorough and difficult process. End to end you're doing a recruiter call, IQ/competency assessment, hiring manager interview (which was a mini case question), a combined 1.5 hour product sense + product execution interview, an engineering working session and a final in person presentation round. I only made it to the product sense. Did not like my two interviewers and the recruiter as they were not aligned with what I should expect. The recruiter had me prepare completely differently. Overall, they try to force fit the product interview frameworks and styles you'll find in big tech.

It was smooth and well-coordinated. Emphasis on your life story and how you got to where you are now, and why you are seeking out this role. Execution/product sense interview went well - it was specific to Shopify's business line, so I had to understand their user segments.

The overall process was spread across months making it challenging to keep up with constant preparation. I was able to ace the product design, analytics and execution questions. I could have done better in the cross functional round.

Overall experience was ok. The length of the interview was very long, and the recruiter sometimes would wait a couple of days before replying back

The process was well-structured, starting with a recruiter screen followed by a deep dive with the hiring manager and a final "super day" involving cross-functional stakeholders (Engineering, Sales, and Supply Chain). What went well was the alignment on product vision; I was able to demonstrate how my technical background helps bridge the gap between complex chemical solutions and digital customer tools. What didn’t go well was the initial technical case study—it was more data-heavy than I anticipated, requiring a very quick pivot to explain how I’d prioritize features under tight regulatory constraints.

Straight forward, easy behavior, one system design. Overall similar to how Amazon interviews. HM was bit tough, I couldn't read if she is interested or if she is forced to interview me. But Skip, and everyone else were super nice.
