"Mission-first doesn’t mean ignoring revenue; it means optimizing for the right revenue. For me, it looks like: ( I qualify for legitimate use cases and clear success metrics; I’m transparent about limitations and risks; I escalate edge cases early rather than trying to ‘get creative’ to save a deal; and (4) I’d rather slip a quarter than sign a customer into a deployment that’s likely to cause harm or blow up trust later.
