What did you do when a customer asked a question you couldn't answer?

"If a customer asked me a question and I didn't have the answer, I would politely apologize for not knowing the answer and let the customer know that I would research the answer and get back to them as soon as possible. I would also take the time to research, talk to subject matter experts, colleagues, managers, etc., to help the customer and make sure that the customer felt taken seriously and their request was being addressed."
